Herbert spent his youth in the Rhineland.
After some years of being a chef, he changed for the computer branch. In 1985 he moved to Bavaria to work self-employed.
Today, being constantly on the road, he is the chauffeur, the
photographer, and the board chef.
Annette, being born and raised at the
Baltic coast of Rostock, her heart still clings to the sea. Vocationed
as a clerk, she had been self-employed with an advertising agency for a
couple of years. She met Herbert in 1999 and moved to Bavaria to live
with him.
Today, she is the co-pilote, navigator and writer of the travel reports.
We have traveled Europe in a motorhome for
eight years. The durations of these travels went longer with each tour.
So that in the end, our home was empty most of these years.
Thus we decided to constantly live in a motorhome instead. It had been a
question of letting or selling hour home, though. We were then advised
to be selling our home which went really fast. Our home was sold after
three months.
We then bought an expedition vehicle to be heading for a tour around the
world. This purchase, however, had been one big failure as the vehicle
had a huge hidden damage. We now are the proud owners of a Phoenix G8500
motorhome.
So, since March 2009 we have been living in a motorhome and travel to
all sorts of places we like. This is just what we had desired for so
long.
